The 2017 Naples Island Swim & SUP features seven individual races 
plus one combination possibility.

Registration Fees:
$50 if paid on or before July 22 *
$55 if paid July 23 through August 5 *
$60 if paid August 6 through race day (August 13) *
On-line registration only from August 6 through August 12. 
On-line registration closes at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12

* Registration fee for the 7-8 200-yard swim and the 9-10 500-yard swim is a flat $20, including race day.

Additional $10 if entering the combination 1 Mile Swim + 1000-Yard Swim

Check-in for each event closes 20 minutes prior to the scheduled start for that event.

Naples Island Swim 1 Mile

1-Mile Swim start time is 9:00 AM sharp. The start is on the small beach to the south of the Leeway Sailing Center dock. The swim route heads out into the bay and cuts into the Naples Island canals just past (east of) Treasure Island.  At the T, swimmers take a right turn to cut between Treasure Island and Naples Island and make their way counter-clockwise through Rivo Alto Canal.back into the bay. Once competitors emerge from the canals they make a straight line back to the beach finish between the pier and sailing dock. The course is set by existing landmarks. Buoys are for sighting only and there will be minimal directional aid during the race. It is advised that competitors become familiar with the course map, which will also be posted at registration.

3-Mile Swim (actual distance approximately 2.7 miles)

Naples Island Swim 3 Mile

3-Mile Swim start time is 9:20 AM sharp. The start and finish is on the beach between the pier and Leeway Sailing Center dock. The swim route heads out into the bay to circumnavigate Naples Island in a counter-clockwise direction. The course is set by existing landmarks, and the fastest line isn't always achieved by hugging the land on your left. Buoys are for sighting only and there will be minimal directional aid during the race. It is advised that competitors become familiar with the course map, which will also be posted at registration.

Naples Island Swim 1000 Meter

1000-Yard Swim start time is 9:40 AM sharp. The start is on the north side of the pier. The swim route follows the swim buoy line from the pier to the 2nd St. bridge. Swimmers are to round one buoy on their left at the start, then move inside the buoy line, keeping it on their right for the remainder of the race. Just before the 2nd St. bridge competitors are to round a buoy on their right, then take a straight course back though the bay toward the checkered buoy just past the pier for the beach finish. The finish is between the pier and Leeway Sailing Center dock. It is advised that competitors become familiar with the course map, which will also be posted at registration.

Naples Island Swim 500 Meter

500-Yard Swim start time is 10:00 AM sharp. The start is on the beach by the 2nd St. bridge. Competitors begin by swimming out and rounding a buoy on their right. Then they move inside the swim buoy line, keeping it on their left for the remainder of the race. At the finish competitors round the end of the pier and head to the beach between the pier and Leeway Sailing Center dock. It is advised that competitors become familiar with the course map, which will also be posted at registration.

200-Yard Swim

Naples Island Swim 200 Meter

200-Yard Swim start time is 10:20 AM sharp. The start is on the beach north of the pier. The point indicated on the map is approximate. The start will be marked by flags on race day. Competitors begin by swimming out to the swim buoy line and following it to the pier. They will then round the end of the pier and head to the beach between the pier and Leeway Sailing Center dock. It is advised that competitors become familiar with the course map, which will also be posted at registration.

1 Mile Swim + 1000-Yard Swim Combination

Men and Women open age group. Competitors must be able to complete the 1 mile swim race in under 40 minutes.
Awards to overall top three finishers. 

3-Mile Fun SUP (actual distance approximately 2.7 miles)
