500 Yard Swim

The 500 yard swim event is limited to age group competitors, 14 years and under. It is intended to be an introduction to open water swimming, so swimmers will be comfortable to move up in distance as they gain experience. Swimmers will start from the beach, run into the water and swim towards the turn buoy out in the bay. Keeping the turn buoy to their right side, swimmers will round the buoy and head back to the beach. 

It is advised that competitors become familiar with the course map, which will also be posted at registration.
